About Me
Cooking delicious gourmet meals, baking mouth watering tasting brownies, great tasting pound cakes, washing clothes, ironing, cleaning, graphic designer, writer, singer, choreographer, speaker of the house (my house) and multi-tasker!!! These are just some of the positions that I have filled since becoming a wife and a mother. I multi-task everyday all day, 365 days a week! I am also atypist, transcriptionist, gift basket maker, graphic designer; I answer phones, answer emails and so much more. These are the greatest jobs I have ever had and I would not trade or change any of these positions for anything; no way; not even for a high-powered position in corporate America, because being a wife and mother is the highest powered position any woman could possibly have! I don't need to be a high powered executive for someone else making them rich, because I own Magic Fingers Secretarial Services!
This is my story!
My name is Cynthia Boyer, and I am a 47-year-old stay-at-home mom who now works-at-home. I am a wife and also a mother to four lovely children. I have been a work-at-home mom since June 2002. This is when Magic Fingers Typing Service was born. In this position, one of the most important positions in my life, I have found it to be truly rewarding, fulfilling and exceptional. Rewarding because I am home with and for my family; fulfilling because I thoroughly enjoy what I do, which is a lot of different things, and exceptional because I am my own boss!
When I started Magic Fingers, I started out as a typist. My business was simply Magic Fingers Typing Services. I typed resumes, letters of recommendation, reports, thesis, recipes and other things. As time went on, I began transcribing interviews and recorded statements. Medical transcription quickly became a part of my business as well as graphic design. I thought to myself, I don't have to limit myself nor my talents to just typing alone, so I changed the name from Magic Fingers Typing Services to Magic Fingers Secretarial Services. I now offer a wide range of services to my clients. I create and design flyers; I design coloring and activity pages for children and I design calendars and many other specialty items such as certificates of appreciation, certificates of achievement and many other types of certificates. My creativity has truly developed into a work of art which has allowed me to expand my typing business.
In addition to Magic Fingers, I started Moms in Slippers because of my desire and passion to help other moms who want to start their very own secretarial business and develop their talents and utilize their creativity in a way they never dreamed possible.
While Moms in Slippers is like most mom sites, it is also just a little different from most mom sites; that is because I look to the Lord thy God for my success. It is He who gives me the peace, joy, love, health, wealth, success, encouragement, empowerment and the energy to live an extraordinary life; a life lived for Him, a life lived for my family, a life lived to helping and serving others.
It is true that a lot of women, especially stay-at-home moms, share the same feelings and a lot of us have the same goals; goals to achieve work-at-home success. It is vital that we remember that we can do nothing on our own or by ourselves. God helps me and I am here to help you as He empowers me.
I have a passion and deep devotion to helping stay-at-home/work-at-home moms because of my own life's experiences in the workforce. It is my goal to provide you with everything you need to know to help you start your business, from teaching you new and exciting things, how to develop your talents and how to utilize your creativity, talents, gifts and abilities, and then bring them to life where you will be able to share them with the rest of the world through your very own unique secretarial business.
